Bringing Hope Through Corporate Social Responsibility
What happens when communities, charities and corporations come together to make the world a better place? HOPE worldwide and Stanbic IBTC Plc, a member of the Standard Bank Group, are doing just that in Nigeria.

Together, we are teaching companies and individuals how to use their businesses to promote socio-economic development. Every year, we have speakers come to Nigeria to teach how the private sector can help bring education, health and economic empowerment to the needy.

This year, HOPE worldwide Vice President of US Programs Antonio Boyd is traveling to Nigeria to discuss "Corporate Social Responsibility: Beyond Rhetoric."

Goals for this years workshop include:

  • Teaching the importance of the private sector's involvement in socio-economic development
  • Educating businessmen and women on strategies for corporate responsibility
  • Creating a strategy unique to Nigeria for implementing corporate responsibility
  • Recognizing people and organizations who are currently doing their part
